Mission
The purpose of this board is to manage and maintain the functions of the Centralized Clinical Placement Software (CCPS).
Duration
The duration of this governing board will be ongoing. The board will consist of nine (9) members with staggered terms.

Committee meetings will be scheduled on an as needed basis.

Deliverables
Centralized Clinical Placement Software
The Texas Gulf Coast Nursing Education Governing Board will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the CCPS system.
These responsibilities will entail:
- Resolving conflict in the event of any unresolved issues from two or more schools requesting clinical placements in conflicting times
- Collaborate with the software developers and the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC) regarding software updates and additional training and communicate any changes to participants
- Review process periodically to ensure that the system is working properly and that all needs are being met
The Texas Gulf Coast Nursing Education Governing Board will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the VCNE.
These responsibilities will entail:
- Reviewing contracts from participating vendors for criminal background checks and drug screenings
- Reviewing the quality of service provided by vendors participating in the consortium
- Scheduling workshops for the Academic Success Series
- Maintaining the domain name for the Website (www.texasgulfcoastnursingeducation.org) and renewing the domain as needed. Expires 2015
